2009 CPD Topics
The NSW Office of Fair Trading (OFT) makes it compulsory for all holders of a certificate of registration and all licensed agents to complete continuing professional development (CPD) in the 12 months following the granting or renewal of their certificate or licence.

Maintain Agency Client Relationship
This unit deals with the formal and informal relationships involved in acting for an agency client in transactions involving two or more parties.
Manage Agency Risk
This unit deals with minimising risk to all aspects of agency business.
Obtain Property Listings
This unit covers the relationship and interactions between agency staff and clients leading to a successful listing of property for sale or management. This unit does not address the actual marketing or sale of the property under an agency contract.
Provide Strata Management Services
This unit describes the provision of property management services for strata title properties. The work includes the preparation and presentation of formal reports to meetings of a body corporate responsible for the management of one or more properties owned by more than one person.
Maintain & Protect Condition of Rented Properties
This unit covers all aspects of property maintenance and advice.
Maintain Key Register
This unit covers accuracy, security and authorisation issues when maintaining a key register.
These courses can be delivered by correspondence or classroom delivery.
Assessment
The CPD topics are competency based and therefore requires students to submit assessments following the completion of each CPD topic. Following successful completion of the CPD topic, you will be provided with documentation to satisfy the compliance requirements of the OFT.
